Sakuragaoka International Japanese Language School operates in Shibuya, Tokyo based on the philosophy of “developing human resources” who can respond to the demands of the times and contribute to society in various fields both in Japan and abroad. As an appropriate school certified by the Tokyo Immigration Bureau, we accept international students, mainly Chinese students, and provide Japanese language education and guidance on entering universities, graduate schools, and popular vocational schools. It is a very convenient location for international students, as it is only a 3-minute walk from Shibuya Station, and many international students are studying Japanese at our school.
Clarification of learning goals
At our school, we emphasize that students have a clear purpose for learning and always keep their goals in mind. This allows students to understand their learning progress and proceed with their studies in a planned manner.
Specifically, individual study plans are created based on the goals each student has set, supporting them to learn efficiently and effectively.
Learning methods to achieve goals
At our school, we support students to learn efficiently in order to achieve their goals by incorporating a backward learning method. This allows students to learn effectively in a short period of time and clear the path to achieving their goals.
Specifically, we have introduced a learning method in which students set a final goal and work backwards from that goal to gradually acquire the necessary knowledge and skills.
Trends in multicultural communication
Our school aims to help students gain a broader perspective through multicultural exchange. This provides an opportunity to not only learn Japanese but also deeply learn about cross-cultural understanding and respect for diversity.
Specifically, by creating an environment where students with different cultural backgrounds can learn from each other, they can naturally acquire international communication skills.

Since its establishment, our school has adhered to a small-class elite education policy. Our teaching team consists of 10 faculty members, including full-time and part-time teachers, making it a highly experienced team relative to the number of students.
Our teachers regularly conduct one-on-one meetings with students, addressing any challenges they face while living abroad and providing guidance on their educational progress. Depending on students' needs, we assist in gathering information about institutions, revising motivation letters, research plans, and other application documents. We also arrange one-on-one or group mock interviews until students succeed.
Additionally, we have three staff members proficient in English and Chinese who provide multilingual support for students' higher education needs.
know more about individual instruction

Our school is located in central Tokyo, just a three-minute walk from Shibuya Station. As a major transportation hub, Shibuya connects nine lines operated by JR East, Tokyu Corporation, Keio Corporation, and Tokyo Metro, making it extremely convenient for commuting.
It is only a 10-minute ride to Takadanobaba Station, home to many private schools, ideal for students' extracurricular learning. Known as the "youth district," Shibuya leads various cultural trends and is called Asia's trend and fashion center.

Our enrollment guidance starts with helping students systematically achieve their admission goals, including setting up admission plans, implementing them, and making timely adjustments.
At the beginning of enrollment, we conduct 2-3 individual interviews to determine target institutions, fields of study, and the schedule for registering and taking courses from the previous academic year. We create study plans for Japanese and specialized subjects tailored to students' desired institutions.
By turning the ultimate goal of entering a desired institution into specific, step-by-step learning plans, we help students achieve each milestone, build confidence, and make their dreams a reality.

We hold special courses related to higher education, such as "Application Document Preparation Courses," "Statement of Purpose Writing Courses," "Graduate School Application Preparation Courses," and "Interview Preparation Courses," aligning with students' exam schedules.
We also host university visit events, including campus tours and trial classes. Furthermore, students can participate in numerous continuing education fairs showcasing graduate schools, undergraduate programs, and vocational schools, including those hosted by JASSO.
